Not true. He married a six-year-old girl, Aisha, and consummated the marriage when she was nine after she was supposed to have menstruated. After that she grew up under the prophet’s loving care. When she was eighteen, prophet died of old age and possibly from sexual exhaustion. It is said by the Sunni sect that the old man died in her lap, which gave her the right of a say in most events in Islamic history till she died 44 years later. Aisha figures or is the authority for more than 2000 hadiths which define the Shariah law. The Shias, however, consider her a villain, even a whore because she was instrumental in denying Ali, Muhammad’s cousin as well as son-in-law, his just place as the first Caliph after Muhammad’s death. If you watch videos and listen in to the audios emanating from the Muslim areas of the United Kingdom, you could see and hear the Sunni citizens and Shia citizens of that country extolling the woman who died more than 1340 years ago from one side of the fence and abusing her heartily from the other side.
When she was nine and had previously menstruated, Aisha was called in from the swing on which she was playing – like any child of nine would – by her female relations, dressed up in her fineries and sent in to her ‘bridal room’ to be shagged by the fifty-three-year-old messenger of god. Not that she was shocked or surprised, she was used to being screwed by the old man between her thighs right after her marriage at the age of six. Till the consummation , Muhammad’s playtime with the child was spent playing post office – putting his tongue into her mouth and letting her return the posting.
This was not wrong, even by modern Islamic standards.
“A man can quench his sexual lusts with a child as young as a baby. However, he should not penetrate. Sodomizing the baby is halal (allowed by sharia). If the man penetrates and damages the child, then he should be responsible for her subsistence all her life. This girl, however, does not count as one of his four permanent wives. The man will not be eligible to marry the girl’s sister. It is better for a girl to marry when her menstruation starts, and at her husband’s house rather than her father’s home. Any father marrying his daughter so young will have a permanent place in heaven.”

Khomeini had a shining example before him: Abu Bakr, who readily agreed to Muhammad’s desire to marry the baby daughter of his, became the first Caliph, overthrowing Ali, who was till then considered the heir-apparent.
Khomeini, being only the super-boss of Shia clerics, was not entirely acceptable to all believers. Only his fatwa against Salman Rushdie was. So a super council of clerics from Saudi Arabia ruled that it was OK for Muhammad to do the thighing on a little girl, but ordinary mortals must not do it because it is haram.
Muhammad was exempted by God from several bans because “Allah has already ordained for you, the dissolution of your oaths.” (Q. 66:2). With those holy words, allah had granted his favourite messenger exemption from all laws, promises and oaths.
